★ New Video ★ Commemorating 55 Years of Japan-Rwanda ODA Cooperation
Japan and Rwanda have marked the 55th anniversary of their Official Development Assistance (ODA) cooperation.

To commemorate this milestone, the Embassy of Japan in Rwanda has released a promotional video highlighting the history of Japan’s ODA cooperation with Rwanda and showcasing various development projects implemented over the years.

This video is narrated in English.

Among the examples featured in the video is the Project for Water Management and Capacity Building in Rwanda (WAMCAB), which is currently being implemented by our company as part of Japan’s support for agricultural development, one of the four key pillars of ODA cooperation in Rwanda.

This project supports the Government of Rwanda’s efforts to improve the efficiency and sustainability of farmer-managed irrigation schemes. To strengthen the capacity of Irrigation Water Users Organizations (IWUOs), the project assists in developing procedures for the transfer of irrigation facility management responsibilities and establishing institutionalized support systems for IWUOs in the target areas. Through these activities, the project contributes to enhancing the management capacity of irrigation schemes and promoting their sustainable operation.
