Award of Excellent Service Presented for Contributions to Agricultural Extension in Nigeria
| Agriculture and Food Security of Nigeria for approximately four years to promote the Smallholder Horticulture Empowerment and Promotion (SHEP) Approach throughout Nigeria.
As a result of these efforts, a dedicated SHEP Unit was established within the Agricultural Extension Services Department of the Ministry. The unit will continue to promote the SHEP Approach after the completion of the project, and SHEP is also expected to be incorporated into the Department’s policy.
In July 2024, at the completion of the project, the Agricultural Extension Services Department of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security presented an Award of Excellent Service to the Japanese experts and project staff who had worked on the project.
